Cap 110

Cap 110 is a memorial dedicated to slavery erected at the Anse Caffard (where colon Jean Caffard resided) at the initiative of the commune of Diamant (Martinique) on the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in 1998. Its designer, Laurent Valère, was born in 1959. A self-taught artist, he evolved in painting and monumental sculpture. He is also the author of an impressive underwater sculpture immersed in Manmandlo in Saint Peter's Bay.
