Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Vaison-la-Romane, in the French department of Vaucluse in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. It must not be confused with the other cathedral of the city, the Cathedral of Sainte-Marie-de-l'Assomption. It illustrates various phases in which Christian art passed from its origin until the 15th century and allows for a certain grandeur of the city until the Middle Ages. It has been classified as historical monuments since 1840.
History: The Merovingian architecture, the Romanesque style and the Gothic style are alongside each other. Its interior is elegant and the architecture is noble, but its decoration was sacked by two of its bishops who, to enrich their episcopal palace, behaved in vandals. One stripped her of her jube and the other removed her marbles from the choir. The apse to the decoration in ancient columns remained almost intact.
