About

The church of Zehnacker is a parish church located in Zehnacker in the administrative district of Bas-Rhin, in the European Community of Alsace. Built in the 12th century, it became a simultaneous church in the second half of the 17th century. When the church was almost entirely rebuilt in 1852, the two communities were physically separated by a wall barring the nave on its entire height, ending the simultaneum. The church of Zehnacker thus presents the unique peculiarity in Alsace to group in the same Protestant and Catholic building without being a simultaneous church in the strict sense.
