chapelle Saint-Georges de Thizy
The Chapelle Saint-Georges de Thizy or Chapelle Saint-Georges du Château de Thizy, now part of the commune of Thizy-les-Bourgs, in the French department of the Rhône in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, was built towards the end of the 11th century and redesigned in the 15th and 16th centuries. It has been listed as a historical monument since 4 March 1977.
The monks of Charlieu would have built it in 1080 upon the request of the inhabitants. It became a church and was annexed to the abbey church of the Bourg called Saint-Pierre de Thizy. It was not changed until 1496 and was expanded until 1510. The chapels were partially restored in 1948-1949 and completely from 1988 to 1991. You can see:
