The Castral Chapel of Lichtenberg is a late Gothic religious building built inside the enclosure of the castle of Lichtenberg, a medieval fortress attested from the 12th century and situated on the territory of the French municipality of Lichtenberg in Lower Alsace. The present building, rebuilt at the end of the 16th century, was used as a tomb by several counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg. But their remains were moved to Bouxwiller in the last quarter of the seventeenth century after Louis XIV took over the castle.
