About

The Sainte-Anne Chapel of the Col des Aravis, commonly known as the Aravis Chapel, is a Catholic place of worship dedicated to Saint Anne. It is located in Haute-Savoie, at the Col des Aravis, on the commune of La Clusaz, at the limit of Savoie and at an altitude of 1,486 metres. It was founded in 1624 by Pierre-François de Belletour, seigneur of Flumet.

History: The parishioners traditionally go there in procession in times of calamity, especially to demand rain. It was restored successively in 1867, 1926 and 1950 and covered in tavaillons on 19 October 1984. The façade bears the inscription "Saint Anne protect travellers".
