château de Bar-sur-Seine
The castle of Bar-sur-Seine is an ancient medieval castle, whose remains stand on the French commune of Bar-sur-Seine in the Aube department, in the Grand Est region. Its importance was due to its position on the border between Champagne (the vassal county of the king of France) and Burgundy (the Duchy allied with the English during the Hundred Years War). At that time the castle of Bar-sur-Seine was considered the most important of Burgundy.
