Boves Castle is a former castle in ruins today, whose remains stand on the territory of the French commune of Boves 8 km south-east of Amiens, in the department of the Somme. Today only remains the castral motte that surmounts two sections of walls of about ten meters, remains of the southeast tower of the last aristocratic residence built at the end of the 14th century on this entirely anthropogenic terre. Archaeological research conducted continuously since 1996 to 2019 leads to a profound renewal of our knowledge of this site, as well as more comprehensively on the adaptation of the capital of a high-level regional major power centre between the 9th and 17th centuries.

Location: The fort is built on a chalk cliff culminating at about 71 meters, in the commune of Boves, in the French department of the Somme. The Boves promontory is one of the most favourable geographical units for the installation of a fortification in Amienese.
