The château de Châtenay is an old fortified house, from the 11th century rebuilt in the 15th century and rebuilt in the 19th century, the center of the seigneury of Châtenay which stands on the commune of Chanoz-Châtenay in the department of Ain in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The castle is the subject of a partial inscription in respect of historical monuments by order of 18 February 1987. Only the facades and roofs of the buildings that surround the inner courtyard to the east with the two corner towers, the 15th century tower adjacent to the main house body to the east and the retaining wall to the northwest are inscribed.
