About

The Château de Cornay is a residence located in Cornay, in Ardennes (France), on the borders of Champagne and Lorraine. This castle, located on a terrace on the side of the hill, has belonged since its construction, four centuries ago, to the same family, the Pouilly family. A family linked by the profession of arms to this country of Argonne Ardennes and to the French nation. But this castle is not military. It is a home of pleasure, from the 17th century, profoundly redesigned in the 19th and early 20th century, maintaining its Renaissance style.

"A manor ideal for summer stays, turned by its main facade with fresh east wind, lying in the shadow of the fortified church, protected from promiscuities and noises by a grove with mountain laces, the Château de Cornay is a friendly and well-proportional residence"

- Suzanne Briet As a wink to visitors, the building also recalls in some details two activities of the village of Cornay in the 19th century, stone sculpture and viticulture.
