The castle of Giez, also known as Gy or Gye, is a former 13th century fortified house, renovated in the 16th century and restored in the 19th century, which stands on the commune of Giez a French commune, in the department of Haute-Savoie and the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The facades, roofs and interiors have been listed as historic monuments since 9 October 1979. The communes and park have been listed as historic monuments since 1996.

The castle is located in the French commune of Giez, in the department of Haute-Savoie.

History: The castle of Gy or Gye is an old strong house, whose origin could go back to the beginning of the 15th century. On October 27, 1418, Amédée VIII de Savoie, indeed the seigneury of Giez at Pierre II de Villette, vice-bailli du Chablais, hereditary charge. In 1430, Urban I of Villette paid tribute to Duke Louis I of Savoie. Blanche de Savoie, regent, on June 23, 1496 granted François de Villette the "high, medium and low justice" with hunting and fishing rights.
