château de Loyes
The Château de Loyes is an 18th-century residence built by Gabriel Dervieu de Villieu, Baron de Loyes, and later modified for the Baboin family, which stands on the territory of the French commune of Villieu-Loyes-Mollon in the department of Ain, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It succeeded an old castle raised on a castral mot of the 11th century and then a strong house, center of the seigneury of Loyes, which serves as the basis of the present castle, built in the 18th century and modified in the 19th century. In the village there is also the castle of the Pie.
The feudal motte, called "poype" still remains. The castle, a private property, is partly listed as historical monuments.
