The Château de Poncin is a former castle, founded at the end of the 12th century by Humbert II de Thoire-Villars, rebuilt in 1290 and rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries, center of the seigneury of Poncin, which stands on the commune of Poncin in the department of Ain, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The castle is partially listed as historical monuments by order of 12 March 1970. Only facades and roofs, the remains of the old fortification, terraces, retaining wall and gardens are listed.
