The castle of Romefort is a former castle, from the end of the 12th century, several times redesigned, which stands on the French commune of Ciron in the department of Indre, in the region Centre-Val de Loire. As historical monuments; the defences of the dungeon, the west and north-west courts linking the dungeon to the body of houses, and their flanking towers, the facades and roofs of the body of houses, the facades and roofs of the north-west semicircular tower, the facades and roofs of the north-east square tower, the remains of the south enclosure of the castle, namely: facades and roofs of the two towers of the old entrance, facades and roofs of the bodies of buildings adjacent to these towers, remains of the south-west court flanked by a semi-circular tower are registered by order of 18 February 1993; the dungeon of the castle and the mill with its mechanism are classified by decree of 2 September 1994.
