The castle of La Juive, also known as the châtel or château de Clementigney (or Clemtigney), is a listed historical monument located in Chalezeule, on the outskirts of Besançon (Doubs), close to the historic district of Bregille, on the mountain of the same name. If the original building was built on an unknown date, the earliest records of the building date back to the end of the 18th century, before the Lippmann family became its owner. It is also one of their descendants, Léonie Allegri, who asks the Frankish architect Alphonse Delacroix to transform it into a real castle.

Between 1850 and 1870, he gave birth to the building as we know it today, with its neo-gothic style and its characteristic scald. The dynamism of the owner and his confession give the home its ever-present nickname of "the castle of the Jew". After the 1914 war, the building changed hands several times before becoming a hotel-restaurant known for its gastronomy and remarkable decors, earning a national reputation and attracting several celebrities.
