Cité de la Mer

The Cité de la Mer is a maritime museum, located in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, dedicated to underwater exploration and the discovery of great depths. Inaugurated on 29 April 2002, it was completed in 2012 by a new Titanic space, back in Cherbourg. It takes place in the former Transatlantic Art Deco station inaugurated in 1933. The Cité de la Mer is part of the Cotentin community of agglomeration, which has financed among other things its latest modernization works including those of the large hall of the transatlantic maritime station.
