The Collège Saint-Martin de Bollène is an old collegiate dating from the 12th century, it is currently restored by the city of Bollène. Not to be confused, in the same city with the Church of St Martin of Bollene.
History: The city of Bollène, whose existence is attested from the tenth century (diploma of Conrad the Pacific, king of Burgundy and Provence dated 971), develops around the hill of Puy, on which is built a priory, named under the name of Saint-Antoine, dependent of the Abbey of Ile-Barbe. The church of the priory is consecrated between 1112 and 1119 by Hugues de Bourgogne, archbishop of Vienna and papal legate, under the name of the Saint-Sauveur, the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint-Martin. Only the Saint Martin name remains in use. The priory was annexed in 1427 by the Collège Saint-Nicolas d'Annecy. In 1505 the sculptor Nicolas de Ventuéjous created a portal to replace the one existing at the midday of the church. In 1515, the vaulted sacristy was built at the current location. In 1526, the fraternity of Saint-Crépin built a chapel adjacent to that of the Virgin. In 1562, the Protestants of Baron des Adrets...
