About

Cova d'en Rotllan, whose name means "Roland cave" in Catalan, is the name given to two nearby dolmens located in the commune of Corsavy, in the French department of the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Location: The two dolmens (named I and II) are located about 25 m from each other, near GR10, above Pla del Castella, at 1000 m altitude.

History: Dolmen I has long been known to the inhabitants of the region, as evidenced by toponymy, but it was not published before the mid-20th century. Jean Abélanet and Pierre Ponsich searched the building in 1958.

Dolmen I: Dolmen I is still in good condition. It is a simple type dolmen (without corridor) with an entrance facing south-southwest. The small chamber is bounded by a bedside slab (1 m long and 1 m high and 0.20 to 0.25 m thick) and two lateral orthostats, respectively, 2 m and 2.20 m long and 0.35 m thick, slightly inclined towards the inside of the chamber.
