Musée Bernard d'Agesci

The Bernard-d'Agesci Museum is the main museum in the city of Niort (Deux-Sèvres). It opened in 2006 in the former high school of girls, in a building of the late nineteenth century. It is managed by the urban community of Niortais and its collections benefit from the name "Musée de France". This museum, with a large area (nearly 5,000 m2), brings together three different collections in one place: a fine arts and decorative arts fonds, the ancient museum of natural history and a conservatory and observatory of education.
