Le dolmen de la Pierre Blanche is a dolmen located in the commune of Bessé, on the edge of the communes of Tusson and Charmé, in the Charente department in France.
Protection: The building was classified as a historical monument by order of 14 February 1930.
Description: It is an angoumoisin type dolmen dated from 4,500 to 4,000 B.C. The tumulus is gone. The cover table consists of a massive oval stone which measures 4.50 m in length over nearly 4 m in width and 1.50 m in thickness. It rests only on four small blocks, two orthostats were still visible at the end of the 19th century. The dolmen of the White Stone is built in the axis of the four dolmens of Tusson and two other dolmens ruined. A small bronze of Emperor Constantine from around 330 was found near the dolmen.
Folklore: A legend reports that the Blessed Virgin by opening her apron would have dropped a big rock.
