filature des Calquières
The Calquières is an industrial museum with unique machines from 1850 that work wool, located in Langogne in the French department of Lozère. It is the oldest wool spinning in France, will say wise technicians. Since 2015, the production of the Calquières has become a larger building.
The town hall of Langogne, owner of the building, bought the house next to the spinning, which allowed to enlarge the shop, to install a ride with dynamic cinema, the laying of an elevator that serves all the floors and a gallery of larger exhibitions. In 2015, La filature des Calquières retained its historic and unique value and took the name of Le Monde de Filaine, at the filature des Calquières. Filaine is a mascot invented by the students of the Lycée Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul de Langogne, which gives a dynamic to this cultural place.
