About

The Kerloquet alignment (or Manio alignment) is a megalithic alignment of Carnac, in the Morbihan in France.

Location: The alignment is located along Route RD196 between the Kermario and Kerlescan alignments.

Description: The alignment consists of 82 stones over a length of about 180 m. It is likely to constitute the easternmost part of the Kermario alignments, of which they are separated by only about 80 m. Among the menhirs aligned, one of them is clearly detached. Measuring about 4.5 m tall and engraved at its base with snakes and a sun, it marks the location of a chest containing a deposit of 5 axes in diorite and fibrolite.

History: The alignment dates from Neolithic. It is classified as historical monuments by order of 12 October 1939.
