Grand site de France
The large site of Les Deux Caps is a protected natural site, labeled Grand Site de France, located on the Opal Coast, facing England, between the cities of Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais, in the North of France. In 2025, its perimeter increased from eight to eighteen communes. It owes its name to the two sets of cliffs 10.9 km apart as the bird flies: Cape Gris-Nez to the southwest, the point of the French coast closest to England, and Cape Blanc-Nez to the northeast, 150 m high and offering beautiful views of the surrounding area. The site is one of the most emblematic of the Caps et Marais d'Opale regional natural park and one of the most attractive in northern France (2.5 million visitors per year).
