The Claudio Montessuit Garden or Claudio Montessuit Park is a public garden located in the town of Annemasse in Haute-Savoie. The park is made up of trees and flowery mountains, a rose garden, a kiosk, lawns and a kindergarten. The park was founded on May 1, 1931, renovated in 2008 and opened and reopened to the public in June 2009.
His name was given in reference to Claudus Montessuit mayor of Annemasse from 1929 to 1963. This is the first public garden opened by the city in 1931. In 1991, the garden was studied as part of the pre-inventory of heritage, particularly for the preliminary documentation of remarkable gardens.
In 2010, an agreement was signed between the City of Annemasse and the League for the Protection of Birds for the identification of the park's wildlife and for development to preserve its biodiversity. In the park is the Villa du Parc, a contemporary art centre with temporary and permanent exhibitions.
