The Compans-Caffarelli Garden is a public garden located in the Compans-Caffarelli district of Toulouse. It was created in 1980 at the initiative of Mayor Pierre Baudis and is part of a global urban planning operation to replace the site of the barracks of Compans-Cafferelli, abandoned by the army. With an area of 10 hectares and inaugurated in 1983, the garden consists of a Japanese garden, a vast body of water with a jet of water near the Canal du Midi, and spaces dedicated to cities twinned with Toulouse:

for Elche, a basin, palm trees, and a bust of the Lady of Elche; for Kiev, a statue of Picasso; for Atlanta, a phoenix sculpture, in tribute to the AZF disaster. The garden also hosts an aisle in tribute to the Spanish Republican resistance member Francisco Ponzán Vidal, an organizer of the Ponzán group since Toulouse during the Second World War, as well as a sculpture representing Carlos Gardel; An iron dragon, Tholus, by Tom Petrusson and a sculpture in tribute to the victims of the slave trade[ref. necessary].
