The Èze Garden, also known as the exotic garden or the botanical garden of Èze, is a French botanical garden located on steep terrain in the coastal town of Èze (Alpes-Maritimes). It is renowned for its impressive collection of cactus and fatty plants, which find a favorable terrain in the climate of the French Riviera. The garden was created after World War II on the ruins of a castle by Mayor André Gianton and Jean Gastaud of the Exotic Garden of Monaco.
It is located on a plot 400 m above the Mediterranean sea level with panoramic views of the entire region. It contains an important collection of cactus and succulent plants of various origins. The collection includes genera and species Cephalocereus senilis, Echinocactus grusonii, Ferocactus pilosus, Opuntia spp., Neobuxbaumia polylopha, Trichocereus pasacana, Aeonium arboreum, Aeonium canariense, Agave americana picta, Agave americana marginata, Agave salmania, Agave victoriae-reginae, Aloe arborescens, Aloe succotrina, Aloe ciliaris, Aloe ferox, Carpobrotus edulis, Echeveria elegans, Euphorbia caerulescens, Pachyphytum oviferum, Yucca elephantopes.
