About
The site of La Mothe-en-Bassigny, on the communes of Outremécourt and Soulaucourt-sur-Mouzon in the former Duchy of Bar and currently in Haute-Marne, is nowadays only a hill covered with forest. There are a number of confused clusters of stones, witness to a painful past. This was the citadel of La Mothe before 1645.
