Magasin-CNAC
The Magasin-CNAC (from 2016 to 2022) is a national centre of art and culture located near the Berriat course in Grenoble. Originally named "Le Magasin, centre national d'art contemporain", it was inaugurated on 26 April 1986 by François Léotard, Minister of Culture, as part of the Grands Travaux carried out under the presidency of François Mitterrand with the help of the city and the State. Its operation is modelled on the German model of Kunsthallen, places dedicated to contemporary art, where artists are very involved.
The Shop devotes all its spaces to programming temporary exhibitions (renewed quarterly) and events, developed in close collaboration with guest artists. In September 2025, he received the label "Centre d'art contemporain d'intégration nationale", becoming the third centre of contemporary art labeled in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
