The Maison Jean-Cocteau is an 18th-century, Louis XIII-style mansion and a 2 hectares estate with gardens, orchards and wooded park, labeled "Maisons des Illustres" in the village of Milly-la-Forêt in Essonne. She was the domain of poet, artist with multiple talents, graphic artist, cartoonist, playwright and filmmaker Jean Cocteau (1889-1963), in Milly-la-Forêt (then in the Seine-et-Oise department), who wrote an important part of his work there. The street façade and corresponding roof were included in the additional inventory of historical monuments in 1969.
