The Maison de l'Ardoise is a museum located in the heart of Rimogne. It was inaugurated in 1997 in the old buildings of the Grande Fosse slate and the power plant distributing the current in the various pits. Several rooms recount the history of the extraction of the slate in Rimogne. A giant model shows the visitor the location of the various extraction points and buildings related to slates. Since the museum is partly installed in the old power plant, it is possible to see these old installations. A collection of old tools and maps is also presented to the visitor.

Another room houses the original large compressor. Many postcards and enlargements tell the story of the plant. The key point of the museum's visit is the horse riding with its wooden frame and the 185-metre deep well at the aplomb and the winch hall. A transparent glass on the well makes it possible to see part of it. It was from there that the stone went up until the 1930s, years from which violent landslides occurred...
