The House of the People of Clichy, classified as a historical monument since 1983, is a building built from 1935 to 1939 on the commune of Clichy in the Hauts-de-Seine in Île-de-France by architects Eugène Beaudouin and Marcel Lods, engineer Vladimir Bodiansky and the workshops of Jean Prouvé. Combining metal and glass, it was the first prefabricated steel sheet wall-line building with a metal frame built in France. Sliding bulkheads, removable floors, and a moving glass roof, supposed to distribute maximum light, made the People's House a completely original building.
The Clichy People's House was described as "an architectural jewel of the first crown", "a mechanical jewel" and "considered a masterpiece". Unused in its upper parts for some 30 years, the building has been rehabilitated since 2024 by the Ducasse Paris Group and the Apsys Land Registry, under the scientific and technical supervision of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Île-de-France. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2026.
