Commune of France
Moronvilliers () is a commune in the Marne region in eastern France. Symbolically, its name was joined to that of the neighbouring commune of Pontfaverger (located about 4 km north of the old village) to form Pontfaverger-Moronvilliers. Moronvilliers is located about 20 kilometers from Reims.
He gave his name to a massif of seven plateaus forming the Monts de Champagne. From 1957 to 2012, Moronvilliers housed a research centre of the Office of the Atomic Energy Commissioner (CEA) attached to the Military Applications Directorate (DAM) of Île-de-France. An area prohibited from air traffic (LF-P 30) was established around the centre on 23 February 2010.
It was repealed on 16 March 2018.
