Musée Hugues-de-Payns

The Hugues-de-Payns Museum is located in the village of Payns, in the department of Aube in Champagne-Ardenne. He opened his doors in 1997 to discover the story of Hugues de Payns, founder and first master of the Order of the Temple. In 1998, an archaeological survey of the Payns Commandery site revealed remains, and the discoveries made during this site are now exposed.
