About

The Musée Jean-Cocteau collection Séverin-Wunderman is a municipal museum dedicated to the work of Jean Cocteau mainly from the collection of Séverin Wunderman. It is the world's largest public resource for the artist's work. It is located in Menton in the Alpes-Maritimes on the French Riviera.

It was inaugurated in November 2011. The building is the work of architect Rudy Ricciotti. In October 2018, storm Adrian caused flooding of the building and damaged a significant part of the collection.

The museum has been closed since that date. Temporary exhibitions of Cocteau's work are visible at the Musée Jean Cocteau Le Bastion. In May 2025, the city's museum director declared that the museum should not reopen until 2030.
