Managed by the Renault Histoire association, the Renault Museum was located in Boulogne-Billancourt near Paris, on the banks of the Seine, in a mansion of the late 19th century. In five thematic rooms and a shop, he traced the various aspects of Renault's history since 1898 in its various products and activities - automotive, but also aeronautical, railway, industrial, military and social - illustrating it many objects - photos, videos, posters, books, models. The museum, opened in 1988, closed its doors permanently on Thursday, November 10, 2016 after 28 years of existence.
