The Toulon Museum of Art is a municipal museum dedicated to the city's artistic collections. Inaugurated in 1888 it was the first museum of Fine Arts in the department of Var labeled Museum of France in 2002. Major renovations carried out between 2018 and 2021 allowed it to triple its exhibition surfaces, to offer good conditions for the conservation of permanent collections and to welcome the public in optimal conditions. It has a fonds of nearly 3,000 pieces with archaeological objects, paintings from the 15th to the 20th century, contemporary works after the 1960s, and several hundred photographs.
