musée d'art et d'histoire Romain-Rolland
The Roman Rolland Museum of Art and History, in Clamecy, in the French department of Nièvre, was founded in 1876. It is housed in the Bellegarde hotel, Romain Rolland's home, his maternal grandfather's home and a contemporary extension. The fact that he is partly in Romain Rolland's home earned him the label Maisons des Illustres.
It is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m.
to 6 p.m. It is closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from October 1 to April 30. It is closed on Sunday mornings and Tuesdays from May 2 to September 30.
It is also closed from 1 January to 31 March.
