musée d'Art moderne de Céret
The Céret Museum of Modern Art is the main art museum in the Pyrénées-Orientales. It was created by Pierre Brune and Frank Burty Haviland in 1950 and over the last twenty years has acquired an international dimension. Since 1 January 2005, it has become a public institution for cultural cooperation, managed by the city of Céret, the General Council of the Pyrénées-Orientales and the Languedoc-Roussillon region. In 2008, it became the second museum in France for cities with less than 20,000 inhabitants, the 41st at the national level.
