musée de Sens
The Sens Museum is located in the town of Sens in the French department of Yonne, in the region Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Created in the middle of the 19th century, it now hosts a large collection of objects and works of all ages and brings together the collections of the Archaeological Society of Sens, donations (including that of the Marrey family) and the treasure of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Sens.
The museum has been located since 1985 in the former palace of the archbishops of Sens, adjacent to the cathedral and the synodal palace. Closed for work, the museum will open again at the end of January 2026 with a renewed tour route.
