The Museum of Computer Science is a French museum located in the Défense district in the Hauts-de-Seine department. Inaugurated in April 2008, it has been closed since April 24, 2010 following a technical problem with the rear defence elevators. It was the first computer science museum initiated by Philippe Nieuwbourg.
The museum's content has been accessible in several French cities in the form of digital cities. Installed at the top of the arch, it was the first French museum entirely dedicated to computer science. Other museums of the same type have since been opened, notably ACONIT in Grenoble.
This museum traced the birth and history of the Internet, from the Cold War to today, and offered various exhibitions in an educational and interactive way of this industrial epic through 200 pieces of collection and documents. "Knowing the past, understanding the present, imagining the future" is his motto. The collections of electronic devices that have marked the evolution of computer science allowed visitors to appreciate the spectacular development of computer science.
