About

The Giverny Museum of Impressionism is an art museum located in Giverny, on the eastern limit of the department of Eure, Normandy (France). This Norman village became one of the top places of Impressionism thanks to artist Claude Monet, who painted his series of Nympheas. In 2009, the Giverny Impressionism Museum replaced the American Art Museum, which was run by the Terra Foundation for American Art between 1992 and 2008.

Located in the same building, the Giverny Impressionism Museum is a public cultural cooperation institution (EPCC). He proposes to discover the artistic current of Impressionists. Two temporary exhibitions are held each season, from late March to early November.

The Giverny Impressionism Museum is close to Claude Monet's house and gardens, managed by the Claude Monet Foundation. The museum's temporary exhibitions and the visit to this place of memory enrich each other.
