The MTVS - Museum of Textiles and Social Life is housed in an old combed wool spinning, an activity that made Fourmies famous in the 19th century. The exhibition rooms include a large park of spinning and weaving machines. The economic and social history of Fourmies is revealed in the last part of the permanent exhibition: industrialization and urbanization, living conditions with the reconstruction of places such as school, workers' housing, estaminet and various shops.
