Esperanto museum
musée national de l'espéranto
The National Museum of the Esperanto of Gray (or Nacia Esperanto-Muzeo en Esperanto) was founded in 1977 by Georges Junier, known as Géo Junier. Its official inauguration took place in 1987 in the presence of the Polish consul, a hundred years after the creation of Esperanto by Zamenhof. The museum occupies a floor of the Maison Pour Tous (a former renovated college) and exhibits collections of various objects related to Esperanto (books, posters, newspapers, stamps, advertising objects...). In the adjoining square of the museum, Géo Junier installed an analemmatic dial echoing Zamenhof's plan to unite men through Esperanto.
