About

The Regional Museum of Alsace Bossue is located in the municipality of Sarre-Union, in the department of Bas-Rhin. It is installed in the former Jesuit College (1630) and traces the birth of the industry in the last century, the industrialization of the countryside of Alsace Bossue in the 19th century and the work at home through chapelry, ropework, mortuary crowns of glass beads. The museum also presents the wood gasgen, developed by Georges Imbert.

The collections of the Alsace Bossue Regional Museum are managed, for the moment, with the Association d'histoire et d'archéologie de Sarre-Union (AHASU) thanks to an emphyteotic lease with the city. It managed the museum until its closure because of the operational constraints inherent in the premises. The "Regional Museum of Alsace Bossue", currently closed.
