Nice's natural history museum, known as the Barla Museum, is the oldest municipal museum in Nice. Today, this museum is rich in a heritage of more than 1 million specimens, mostly from the Mediterranean regions, but also from South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean islands. The property is located in the Garibaldi Square district, at number 60 of Risso Boulevard.
