église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul
The church Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul d'Ottmarsheim is an 11th-century church located in Ottmarsheim, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, in the Great East. Founded by Rodolphe d'Altenbourg, one of the founders of the House of Habsburg, and dedicated to the apostles of Christ Saint Peter and Saint Paul, it is famous in Alsace and the Upper Rhine for its remarkable and rare architecture of octagonal-centered church in paleo-Christian, Byzantine, pre-Roman, carolingian, and ottonian style, inspired by the Palatine Chapel of Aachen by the Carolingian Emperor Charlemagne and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (the tomb of Christ). The church has been listed as historical monuments since October 1, 1841.
