Ouvrage Bois-du-Four

The work of the Bois-du-Four, called by the association which maintained it work A5 du Bois du Four, is a fortified work of the Maginot line, located in the commune of Villers-la-Montagne, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle. It's a small infantry work, monobloc. Built in 1931, it was not spared by the fighting of June 1940.

He was then stripped of his battled equipment by the Germans during the occupation. Since 1992, it has been maintained by an association, which has restored it to 100% surface (40 places of life). The work has 12 major frescoes taken and restored from other works on the Maginot line.

The exteriors are maintained with a memorial dedicated to the crew, equipped with a Renault FT tank turret, the reconstructed 1939 trench, the country hut, the entrance healer and a picnic area.
