Situation and access: The park is located at 83 avenue de Strasbourg, close to the central hospital and Saint-Pierre church.
Origin of name: The present park is named after Achilles Olry, who owned him and the two buildings that stood there.
History: Olry Park is located at the site of an ancient leprosy founded in the 13th century under the protection of Saint Madeleine. The current park comes from a bequest made in October 1910 to the municipality of Nancy by Achilles Olry, who owned it and the two buildings that held it. He made this legacy on condition that the buildings were demolished and that the park was open to the public. Due to the outbreak of World War I shortly thereafter, however, the opening did not take place until 1924. During the interval, the park will have been built, and the municipality also purchased adjacent land for greenhouses. It is a natural site listed by decree of 17 September 1947.
