parc Samara
Samara Park is located on the territory of the commune of La Chaussée-Tirancourt, in the department of the Somme, about fifteen kilometers west of Amiens, in the Hauts-de-France region. It is both a natural and landscaped park and an open-air archaeological park. It is dedicated to Prehistory and the Gallo-Roman period, through reconstructions of habitats (magdalenian tent, neolithic houses, bronze and iron ages...) and demonstrations by cultural mediators and artisans concerning the size of flint, pottery, weaving, basketry, the work of stone, wood, bronze, iron, etc.
The park also allows you to discover different natural areas: arboretum, botanical garden, marshes, washbasins... The site is owned by the Departmental Council of the Somme. The Bruno Lebel exhibition pavilion, with dome architecture representing the symbolic plan of a human body, offers exhibitions and reconstructed life scenes from the different periods of Prehistory and Gallo-Roman period.
