The National Forest Park is a national park located in France between the departments of Côte-d Created by decree in the Conseil d'État on 6 November 2019, it is the eleventh French national park and the first for the protection of deciduous and plain forests. It thus preserves the forest massifs of Châtillon, Arc-en-Barrois and Auberive, representative of the hardwood cutlery of the plateaus of the south-east of the Paris Basin without forgetting the numerous springs and some 700 km of streams. It consists of a membership area without specific protection, comprising the territories of the communes of Châteauvillain, Châtillon-sur-Seine and Auberive, and a protected area called the "heart" of the National Park which covers an area of 56,614 hectares, 95% forest.
The territory of the National Forest Park also includes an integral reserve with an area of more than 3,000 hectares. 127 municipalities make up the optimal membership area of the National Forest Park.
